Adhesive lasts for around 6 weeks or daily use before it will need to be replaced.

Instructions for use:

For Best Results Prepare the Fingernail and Finger Pick

  • Remove old adhesive from the inside of the pick by placing a toothpick or small screwdriver into the glue and spinning it to wind the adhesive onto the implement
  • Wipe inside of Finger Pick with an alcohol wipe or rubbing alcohol to remove any oils or pick dust
  • Buff fingernail lightly with a file or fine 1000 grit sandpaper to rough up the surface
  • Wipe fingernail with alcohol wipe or rubbing alcohol to remove any dust, lotions, or hand oils

Place Adhesive on inside of Finger Pick

  • While still on the liner, line up adhesive circle with the inside of the Finger Pick.
  • Place adhesive as close to the cuticle end as you can to keep the back of the pick from popping up on downstrokes
  • Press down firmly on the liner to set the adhesive and bond it to the Finger Pick
  • Slowly peel off liner and discard
  • Or, using a clean small screwdriver or tool, lift the adhesive circle off of the liner and place it on the inside of the pick
  • Place a second, or as many adhesive circles as desired on the inside of the Pick
  • The smallest sizes take one adhesive circle, the largest may take 4 circles

Warm up Premium Activator Adhesive before each use

  • Place Pick with Premium Activator Adhesive in a slot in the Activator with the glue side facing up
  • Plug in the Activator to warm the adhesive
  • Place any additional Picks with Adhesive that you will need in the other Activator Slots
  • Allow adhesive to warm for 3 or 4 minutes until it goes from a satin finish to a honey like consistency

Line Up Fingernail with Slot

  • Tip Pick out of the Activator and into your left hand
  • Line up the pick with the end of your fingernail
  • Catch the underside of your nail on both sides with the slot in the pick

Push Fingernail into Pick

  • Push your fingernail into the Pick while holding the adhesive off of your nail until the pick had been pushed all of the way on
  • Press the pick down onto your nail firmly at the cuticle to set the adhesive
  • Remove any adhesive that squeezes out from under the pick. Roll it into a ball and discard
  • Check to see if the pick is grabbing under both sides of the nail by holding the end of the pick with your left hand and wiggling the pick up and down. You will be able to tell if one or both sides are loose and you don’t have a secure fit
  • Remove pick if one or more sides is not grabbing and repeat prior steps
  • Play your instrument to test if the pick feels solid

To Remove Pick after playing

  • Lift up the back of the pick at the cuticle a small amount with your left thumb while pushing the pick off of the end of your nail. Use slow and steady pressure to gradually release the adhesive from your nail rather than quickly pulling it off
  • If the adhesive remains intact on the inside of the pick it can be used again, otherwise remove and discard in trash
